I'm planning my first trip to Australia, I am looking for a store that would carry a wide range of groceries (as I will be cooking most of my meals) and personal care items (as gifts for myself and friends). Thanks in advance for your help!

You're probably after Macro Health Foods or Mrs Fieldings, plus many other smaller independent shops. You can easily buy organic foods in the major supermarkets as well (Coles and Woolies), including fruit and veges. If there's a farmer's market near where you'll be it's also a good place to do your shopping - you can buy many products directly from the producer.

No we dont have someting like this. Organic food is still rather new. You will find some small co-ops which sell organic and farmers produce - still very expensive in comparison. These stores are not in malls but are tucked away in the streets. Health food stores do have a small range of organic and are generally cheaper. The major cities (like Sydney) have a couple of once a month markets that sell organic produce but they may take a while to locate.
