I've never been to Australia and I'm about to move to Sydney for school. I'm from the United States and while I'm not a fan of any diving spots in the US, I have taken several trips to the Caribbean to dive. I'm hoping I can find some good dive spots near Sydney. I plan on taking a trip to the Great Barrier Reef at some point, but would love other recommendations nearer to Sydney. Thank you!!!

There's heaps of diving around Sydney in both the harbour and the ocean, it's quite nice but none of it is particularly special. In NSW some good spots are Jarvis Bay, Byron Bay, SW Rocks, and Seal Rocks.

There's loads of great diving around Sydney. When you get to Sydney you won't have trouble finding Dive Shops that take people out. There places around Manly, and if you grab a snorkel head down to Clovelley. It just looks like a bit of water, but it's home to the famous big blue gropers and lots of other pretty things. Not as spectacular as the Reef, but you certainly won't be stuck for underwater fun!!
